The University of Texas at Austin held graduation ceremonies the weekend of May 22nd. As a tradition, the university lights the UT Tower burnt orange with the graduation year shining through selected windows in the tower. Hundreds of people come with their cameras to capture this wonderful photo opportunity. Capturing the color and the year in the windows is the main idea. Click on the images above to see a few more images from the weekend as well as some great shots of some of the wonderful places in Austin. Leave some love . . .

FIELD TRIP

On April 1, 2009 students from Pflugerville High School got a chance to experience college at the University of Texas at Austin. Students had work critiqued by graduate students and got a chance to view studio space at the Art building. After walking across campus we experienced the Harry Ransom Center. The very first photograph was on display and truly was a treat for students and the chaperones. Our last stop after lunch was the outdoor area at the Palmer Events Center in Austin. Students had an assignment called “Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.” Students spent their time capturing the elements and enjoying the outdoors. Click on the images above and check out the “happenings” of the trip. It was an enjoyable and educational day!
